Apple-Metro, Inc. is the New York Metropolitan Area franchisee for Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar®. Our portfolio currently includes 33 Applebee’s® restaurants in the five boroughs, Westchester and Rockland Counties. We were awarded Applebee’s® Neighborhood Grill & Bar Franchisee of the Year 3 years in a row!

Apple-Metro, Inc. has franchise rights to open locations in Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, as well as all of Westchester and Rockland Counties.

Apple-Metro, Inc. was founded in 1993 on very simple principles: a desire to create the ultimate casual dining experience through extraordinary service, exceptional food and drink, in a fun-filled friendly atmosphere.

Seeing an unfulfilled marketplace and an exciting opportunity in the New York Metro area. Franchise Principals Zane Tankel and Roy Raeburn seized the possibility to bring Casual Dining frontrunner – Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar – into the area.

Our first Applebee’s, in Staten Island, was opened in October of 1994. Since then we have opened an additional 33 Applebee’s, including the two largest in the world, which are located at 42nd Street and 50th Street in New York City.

Apple-Metro, Inc. has been at the forefront of many community developments. Citing an opportunity to satisfy a need in an underserved neighborhood has illustrated that the Applebee’s concept can be leveraged in a variety of diverse communities. Our location in Bedford-Stuyvesant (Brooklyn) is a cornerstone in the redevelopment of the Restoration Plaza, the community’s business and cultural centerpiece. As the first sit-down family dining establishment to open since the 1960’s, Applebee’s is not only a warm and inviting gathering spot, it has become an economic catalyst employing over 75 residents of the surrounding area.

Apple-Metro, Inc. continues to explore the marketplace for new opportunities to create their ultimate casual dining experience, especially in traditionally underserved neighborhoods. It is this forward thinking which has afforded Apple-Metro great success in diverse communities often overlooked by other casual dining concepts.
